Guangzhou Fine Arts Auctioneers Ltd
“I give 85 marks to AIAA.” Interview with Mr He, General Manager of Guangzhou Fine Arts Auctioneers Ltd
Mr He, General Manager of
Guangzhou Fine Arts Auctioneers Ltd
AIAA attracts thousands of buyers from around the world every year. As a gateway where East meets West, Hong Kong enjoys benefits from free trade of arts and antiques. In recent years, more and more quality buyers from Mainland China visit AIAA.

>Mr He, General Manager of Guangzhou Fine Arts Auctioneers Ltd has visited AIAA since 2006. Every May, Mr He brings his clients and connoisseurs to visit the Fair.

AIAA Makes Huge Progress Every Year
“I participate in the Fair every year. The 2nd AIAA has made huge progress, in terms of scale and exhibitor number, comparing to the 1st AIAA. With well-known auction houses from Japan, the UK and more, the scope of exhibition was broadened.” Mr He stated.

Mr He also praised the quality of the Fair. Comparing to the other exhibitions of its kind, AIAA is professional.

AIAA Acts As Trading Platform
Talking about the advantages of participating in AIAA, Mr He said, “AIAA provides a trading platform for antique dealers and buyers. Through AIAA, I get to know more suppliers and potential buyers. As for auction house like us, we obtain numerous precious items from suppliers. We purchase ceramics, jades, calligraphy and paintings in AIAA every year. The purchase amount solely for ceramics reached hundreds thousand dollars. Mr He predicted that precious ceramics and quality jades will be in great demand. According to Mr He, part of their collection will be placed in headquarters, while part of it will be resold in the market.

Besides, AIAA provides important market information, such as the trend of antique market, prices of various antique items. Meanwhile, we selected art pieces and antiques in AIAA for our clients.

Optimistic About Hong Kong Market and AIAA
Mr He is optimistic about the future development of Hong Kong market and AIAA. Thanks to the prime location and its role as an international financial centre, Hong Kong is the gateway for China to overseas markets.

Before 1990s, the arts and antique market was one-sided as large amount of Chinese antiques were sold to foreign countries. In 1990s, Chinese people gradually bought Chinese art pieces and antiques back from the foreign countries. The arts and antique market is now another one-sided. The Chinese art and antique market rapidly developed. However, it takes much time and efforts for buyers to travel to Europe and the U.S. With AIAA, the buyers are free from these troubles. The organizer also provides comprehensive services.

Mr He highly praised the Fair and he will definitely participate in AIAA again. He wishes the 3rd AIAA a great success.
