"The Chinese Calligraphy Pavilion" and "The Chinese Classic Oil Painting Pavilion" Exhibit HK$ 60 Million Worth of Art Works at AIAA 2008
From May 23rd to 26th, the “Chinese Calligraphy Pavilion” and the “Chinese Classic Oil Painting Pavilion” at the 3rd Asia International Arts & Antiques Fair (AIAA 2008) will showcase a series of art pieces to promote Chinese calligraphy and oil painting.
The “Chinese Classic Oil Painting Pavilion” showcases over 20 artworks from Chen Yi Fei, Xin Dong Wang, Xu Wei Xin, Chen Yi Ming, Guan Qi Jun, Zhang Guo Fang, Zheng Yi, Tsui Tin Yun and more. “The Flutist” by Chen Yi Fei, one of his last masterpieces created in 1987, will be exhibited for the first time in Hong Kong. “The Flutist” was also a significant piece in Chen Yi Fei’s solo exhibition at New York’s Hammer Galleries in 1988.
This year, The “Chinese Calligraphy Pavilion” displays over 20 valuable artworks by the celebrated contemporary artists, such as Li Yan Sheng, Cui Ru Zhuo, Xue Liang and Shi Qi. Visitors can appreciate the artpieces and have a better understanding of the trend of Chinese calligraphy.
During the exhibition, Li Yan Sheng and Cui Ru Zhuo, artists of works in the “Chinese Calligraphy Pavilion”, together with Xu Wei Xin, Chen Yi Ming, Zheng Yi and Tsui Tin Yun, artists of masterpieces in the “Chinese Classic Oil Painting Pavilion” will visit our show to promote Chinese calligraphy & oil painting and share their experiences with visitors.
Over 40 masterpieces from the two pavilions are worth over HK$60million and many of them are on display in Hong Kong for the first time. This will definitely be an eye-opening experience for visitors.
It is believed the exhibits from the “Chinese Calligraphy Pavilion” and the “Chinese Classic Oil Painting Pavilion” will bring art lovers remarkable joy.
